Thought: Why does HR spend an inordinate amount of time worrying about sick time when the abuse is really not systemic? I find that most HR departments worry about sick time when there has been an individual abuse of the policy. Why are we so afraid to confront the employee who is abusing the policy? It seems like we make everyone suffer for the abuse of a few.
